BIOGRAPHY

Melilot Hornblower of Oatbarton is a scholar in all her right. Quieter than most hobbits and more prone to long afternoons and sunlit orchards, she is a historian, and a dedicated one at that! Indulging herself in the little tidbits of lore she can acquire on her people, she dreams of becoming a great scholar and bringing to light the merits of hobbits in history.

Her peculiar relations with the race of men, mainly the dúnedain, have aided her greatly throughout the years in her quest for knowledge. More often than not, the dúnedain scholars would reveal to her documents and stories not many hobbits know of. Sometimes the wilds of Evendim and the North Downs have been walked by her and by some of the race of men in her search of history.

Though not a warrior, Melilot is one of three, alongside her sister Adamanta and Sidhen of the dúnedain, to fight against Sharkey's lackeys during the Scouring of the Shire. Before the war Melilot married Isumbert Burrows (although after Melilot's wishes, they had no children) and lived a long and prosperous life until the very end, looking for every bit of knowledge she can gather about her people.
