BIOGRAPHY
Giznik, son of Asnaz - a toy-maker and Gizna - a diplomat, was a Longbeard dwarf born in Khazad-dûm at the height of its power in the Second Age. Skilled in the arts of the dwarves, Giznik became an armor smith and so great was his talent and skill at making armor of such quality and beauty, that he was called "The Shine of the Flaming Deeps". He could often be found in the Forges of Khazad-dûm, always fashioning new armor.
His life was forever changed when the elves of both Eregion and Lindorinand started dwelling and trading within the dwarven kingdom, as it was then when he met Lothrin of the Nandor, and great friendship was born between them.
Due to great unrest and turmoil, at a short time before the Fall of Eregion Giznik fled Khazad-dûm, believing the dwarf kingdom will soon fall to the forces of Sauron. He was forever parted from his father, as Asnaz would not leave their ancestral home. Giznik fled north, together with Lothrin and some of the Noldor and arrived in a Valley, beautiful and serene. He helped the elves build Imladris and a tapestry forever hangs in its library, commemorating his aid.
After the construction was complete, Giznik traveled west and arrived in Ered Luin, where he settled and married a dwarf-woman named Milna. His descendants lived in Ered Luin, ever since.
